Westonbirt Arboretum – A Guided Tour

DATE: 12th Nov

Venue: Westonbirt Aboretum

Cost: £5 LIM members, Students Free

Join LIM on Saturday 12th November for a trip to Westonbirt Arboretum which is the UK’s National Arboretum, and set in a Grade 1 landscape. We’ve been offered exclusive free access into the arboretum by the Director Andrew Smith, who we may be lucky enough to join us for a tour of the arboretum in the morning and lunch. After lunch there is the option to explore the rest of the arboretum yourselves or a further tour of the rest of the arboretum with an experienced volunteer. Westonbirt is home to 15,000 trees, a succession of plants from different areas of the temperate globe that burst into a succession of bright, golden or burnished tones. There is something to delight the senses throughout the autumn period. This is a visit not to miss!

Birmingham City University students will be joining us and will come by coach from the Parkside campus in Birmingham at around 7.30am. Priority will be given to students on the coach but some seats may be available. More details of this trip can be found on the link below.
